All content on this website has been developed since 1999 by the originator and co-founder of Synergized Earth Network.

On 27th January 2011 Synergized Earth Network has been formally registered at the Chamber of Commerce in The Netherlands.

The development of www.synergizedearthnetwork.org and its complete visual design have been created from 7th July 2010 until  24th July 2013.

Protection of your personal information and your right to privacy is a priority with Stichting Synergized Earth Network, SEN, when you visit www.synergizedearthnetwork.org, the Website. This document is a summary of information regarding your rights, our obligations and general guidelines. This document relates to the information collected, used and/or disclosed by and via the Website. 

*We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Statement at any time without notice (for example, if we modify our practices regarding the collection or use of information in order to better protect our members and users of our sites). We will revise our Last Updated date to reflect any revisions to this Statement. Your continued use of the Website following the posting of any revisions shall constitute your acceptance thereof.


◎ Collection of Information

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (“PII” or “Personal Information”) we may collect it should you voluntarily submit the information to us, SEN,  such as when you register to receive information from us, submit a possible donation to us, register to participate in a program or service of SEN or communicate with us by email.

The types of PII we may request include your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number. Additional information may be requested for registration purposes, online questionnaires, polls and creation of portal access accounts in the near future. 

We will also capture login information such as username and password, private answers to certain security questions, or other similar information that allows us to uniquely identify your account and/or authenticate you prior to giving you access to your account information or other online activities.

Certain information may be captured or registered automatically by us on our Website We may capture certain information automatically on our Website (even if you do not voluntarily provide us with Personal Information, or in addition to any Personal Information that you do provide). This can include your Internet protocol address, Internet service provider, browser type, and linking information. This information will serve or aim to develop aggregated Website server statistics (how many people access our Website and what pages are they interested in or at which content or activity people possibly decide to depart from our Website for us to consider how to possibly make our content more accessible ). At times, our systems may make this information identifiable to you, and, if so, it will be treated and protected as Personal Information.

For us to provide information to you, and to allow us to respond efficiently to your service and/or information requests.

For us to provide information on programs or other possibilities that may be relevant to you.

For internal data management, purposes of data collection and generation of internal reports to serve as a support to SEN’s services.

We have established and implemented reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the Personal Information we may collect online. These measures include, yet are not limited to: (1) using industry-standard encryption to protect credit card numbers when they are transmitted using our Website or website of third parties for payment purposes, and (2) storing our users’ Personal Information in secure operating environments that are only accessible on a strict need-to-know basis to SEN or possible third parties with whom we collaborate for their specific services. Additional measures of security might be added and updated on this page at the discretion of the website technical and content manager.

SEN will not disclose your information to third parties except in the situations as described below which may occur and which only serves to support the purpose of SEN:

Website Advisory Services and Service Providers. We may disclose Personal Information to third party website advisory services and service providers (such as providers of hosting, support, maintenance; third party credit card processing agencies; third party billing and collection agencies; and remedial and repair services) to the extent that they require access to our databases, or the information contained in our databases, to service the purpose of SEN and the Website.

Enforcement of Rights/Security. SEN reserves the right to release Personal Information -

(i)  when we are under legal obligation to do so (e.g. we have received a subpoena) or we otherwise believe that the law requires us
     to do so.

(ii)  when we believe it is necessary to protect and/or enforce the rights or safety of SEN, our users or others.

(iii)  as we deem necessary to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, prevent fraud and otherwise enforce
      the Privacy Statement.

As Otherwise Allowed by Law. We may transfer Personal Information to third parties where we are permitted by law to do so, but only if it serves the purpose of what we envision to bring with SEN and its related activities and services.

Under no (future) circumstances will SEN sell or receive payment for licensing or disclosing your personal information.


◎ Limiting the Disclosure of My Information

Should you have registered yourself for an account, you may log into your account at any time and modify, delete or update some of your information such as your contact information.

You reserve the right to close your account which we will respect, and/or opt out of receiving any form of communication from SEN.

Additionally, you can always unsubscribe from possible informative, collectively directed emails from us which are generated, by replying back to any email you received with the word “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject line. Please note that you may receive any informative messages which were already in production at the time you sent your request.


◎ Privacy on Third Party Linked Sites

Where possible SEN will continuously try to build awareness or share information with our users of our Website for sake of the purpose of SEN.  In an attempt to provide you with access to relevant resources and information which you may find useful, the Website may contain links to third party sites. These linked websites have separate and independent privacy policies or may have no privacy policy at all. SEN is not responsible or liable for the content, activities or privacy policies of such linked sites.


◎ Privacy on the Portal, Forum or Message Board

From time-to-time our Website may contain reviews, forums, message boards or blogs. SEN will leave it to you to control what information about yourself you choose to share on our Website.

Please be informed and aware that when you post content on our Website, such content may be viewed by other users and by the general public, including any such content that contains your Personal Information.

All such sharing of information and content is done at your own risk since SEN cannot take ownership of the content you post on our Website and we therefore will leave this responsibility with you.

In the event that we discover content posted to our Website to be objectionable or illegal, to be determined under our sole discretion, SEN reserves the right to remove such content and trust your understanding for this.

Acceptance of Terms

The use of this Website is subject to the following “Conditions of Use”, which may be updated regularly for sake of the purpose of what we envision to bring with SEN, without an obligation for general notification from time to time. To ensure for our users to be aware of any possible updates of these Conditions of Use, the date of the last update shall be printed at the top of this page.


Description of Service

This Website provides users with access to a collection of resources which SEN wants to share with the users, including various communications tools, databases of information, collections of expressions, forums, and content through its Website and (future) portal. These services are subject to the following “Conditions of Use”. Any new service provided by the Website, shall be construed to be subject to this document. Members are those who hold the approved membership of SEN.


Member Obligations

Members are required to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about themselves in the Website’s Registration Form (for Sign In, access to the future Portal, and where information to register will be required under the Chapter, Join Us and Summit2013 sections on the main menu of this Website).

Members are further required to maintain and update the Registration Data to keep it current, accurate and complete.

Provision of false inaccurate, outdated or incomplete data is not permitted in particular where this data has legal,  financial or security implications for SEN, is a ground for termination or suspension of your account and/or possible refusal of all current and future use of this Website.


Member account, password, and security

Members select a username and password upon completing the Service's registration process. Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their password, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under their password.

Members agree to (a) immediately notify SEN of any unauthorized use of their password or account or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that they exit from their account at the end of each session. SEN shall not be deemed to be liable for any loss or damage arising from failure to comply with this section.


Member Conduct

Members understand that all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages or other materials, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated.

SEN reserves the right to remove from the Website any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, pornographic, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.


Members agree to not use the Website (including its future portal) to:

Materials submitted or made available for inclusion on the Website or future Portal

SEN does not claim ownership of content any member may submit or make available for inclusion on the Website or future portal unless agreed otherwise. However, with respect to content members submit or make available for inclusion on publicly accessible areas of the Service, SEN reserves a world-wide, royalty free license regarding said content.

With respect to any audio, visual, graphic or written content submitted or made available on this Website or future portal, SEN holds a perpetual, irrevocable license to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform and publicly display such content, in whole or in part, and to incorporate such content into other works in any format or medium.

The only exclusion to this license is the disclosure of a strong proof of copyright by the author of the content and inclusion of a disclaimer acknowledging the ownership of said copyright attached to said content.

Members agree to indemnify and hold SEN, and its team members, volunteers, agents, affiliates SEN chapters and partners, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to the use or abuse of the Website or portal by said member, violation by said member of “Conditions of Use”, violation of rights of any other person.

This Website and future portal may provide links to other websites or resources. SEN does not exercise control and is not responsible for the availability of these external websites or resources. SEN does not endorse or promote any of these websites or resources for any commercial or non-commercial gain. Further, SEN is not liable for any loss or damage caused or alleged to be caused, directly or indirectly, by or in connection with use of or reliance on any content, goods or services available on or through any such website or resource.


Disclaimer of Warranties

Members acknowledge that their use of this Website and future portal is at their own risk. SEN makes no warranty that

(1)  The Website or future portal will meet your requirements or expectations;

(2)  The Website or future portal will be uninterrupted, timely, secure and error-free.

No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from SEN or through its Website or future portal shall create any warranty unless expressly mentioned in the Conditions of Use Agreement.


Limitation of Liability

Members understand and agree that SEN shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, resulting from:

Use or Inability to use the Website or future portal, or any services, goods or information available on the SEN Website or future portal or any other third party.

Unauthorized access to or alteration of any content or transmissions or data provided by member.

Statements or conduct of any third part on the Website or future portal which is outside the scope of control of SEN.

Any matter relating to provision of services through the Website or future portal.
