INTEGRAL WORLDVIEW & NAVIGATION

HEAD | BRIDGE-BUILDING AND FRAMEWORK OF TIME - PART 1

The Head section of our organization provides a framework of understanding that integrates the past and present, to co-create a future beneficial for all by building upon the existing legacies, knowledge and capacities in the world. It gives us insight in understanding the current state of the world and our place within it.

BRIDGE-BUILDING TOWARDS A COMMON UNDERSTANDING

▶ What are our shared human values?

How can we define a common framework of understanding?

How can we restore human to human and human to earth relationships while working towards personal well-being through the quality of our lives, social justice and sustainable development?

While living in such critical times on a social, economic and ecological level, we strive towards a common framework of understanding and a shared vision. SEN acknowledges the importance of an integral framework of understanding that can provide insight into the current state of the world, what the root causes are of our collective challenges and how we can enable a shift in our way of thinking, acting and living to jointly bring the necessary changes. The Integral Worldview [1] is an approach and framework of understanding that supports SEN's vision towards a more just, peaceful and sustainable world. Underneath you will be taken through this framework of understanding that we strive to develop and practise together.

NAVIGATION THROUGH TIME

SEN values the following questions for navigating through time to understand the current state of the world, the root causes and our possible future▼

PAST: HOW DID WE GET TO WHERE WE ARE?

PRESENT: WHAT IS THE CURRENT STATE OF THE WORLD?

FUTURE: HOW CAN WE CO-CREATE A FUTURE BENEFICIAL FOR ALL?

With these questions we acknowledge that we are willing to learn from the past in order to build upon what generations before us have lived through and brought to the world. We strive to develop a most accurately possible diagnosis of the present state of our world and the times we live in. In this way we can work towards building the future we envision together for generations to come and all forms of life on earth.

In the next two parts (part 2 and 3) we will give a necessary introduction, before we will explain the Integral Worldview itself.

SEN | CORNERSTONES

To live upon our vision, mission and Open Invitation, we have build three SEN cornerstones which we define as the Heart, Head and Hands of our organization as a dynamic living system. These cornerstones support our philosophy and everything we strive for.

They serve as a compass to navigate through how we operate as a value-driven and (personal) commitment-based intergenerational world community that continuously strives to translate our vision into practise where possible.

SEN underlines the importance of exploring how we can build upon the past, understand the present state of the world and work towards the future we envision together as a choice to be made by each single one of us.
